A few of Our Projects

Vodafone Farmers’ Club

  • Vodafone Ghana launched the Vodafone Farmers’ Club (VFC) in 2015, to bridge the gap between farmers and the critical information they need to improve their income and welfare.
  • Till date, the VFC initiative provides agric content (market prices, location specific weather forecast and agric tips) bundled with free voice services; outsourcing the content, tech support and call centre to Esoko.

The Ghana Agricultural Development and Value Chain Enhancement (ADVANCE)

  • Farmer beneficiaries of the ADVANCE Project received weather information, market prices of selected commodities, and advisory tips over voice and SMS channels. The call center was available to assist farmers on inquiries regarding their selected value chain crops.
  • USAID’s ADVANCE project supports the scaling up of agricultural investments to improve the competitiveness of maize, rice, and soybean value chains in Ghana.

CIMMYT (International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center)

  • In 2016, Esoko provided SMS poll services to CIMMYT to determine the results of Kenyan farmers using a new brand of maize seeds.
  • Again in 2017, Esoko profiled farmers, conducted M&E surveys through our agent network and call centre, provided CIMMYT’s farmers with agronomy content and provided their agronomists with our Knowledge Plus (K+) app; most importantly providing the platform to agro-vets to track and monitor stock levels of inputs.
